Drama Llama Knitting Company produces handspun and Hand-dyed yarns, as well as knitting accessories and patterns.

Our dream: By moving towards selling yarn from local-ish, ethically sourced fiber, we hope you bring your sweater a little bit closer (figuratively speaking) to the sheep it came from. (Or alpaca, or goat, or bundle of flax!)

For those about to craft, we salute you.

I had such an amazing time this weekend at Knit City 2013! As always, it was so much fun to see what everyone has been working on.
We had a great response to The Knittrix and we are stoked to be working on Issue #2.
If any of you knitters are cross-over comic nerds (and I can tell from my dash that you are!) we will have issue #2 available in the Spring at Emerald City Comic-con and online as soon as it’s ready.
More fun things to look forward to: Custom Knittrix colorways and exclusive patterns!
Guys, it’s fun to make stuff! Let’s all make stuff!

If you live in the Vancouver, BC area and you want to get your hands on a real-life copy of The Knittrix, you are in luck!

This weekend is Knit City 2013 at the Croatian Cultural Centre, and there will be copies available at the Drama Llama table @ Booth 16.

Knit City is an event put on by Knit Social, and features a marketplace with all types of vendors as well as classes and lectures featuring some real awesome folk.

Less than a week till Knit City!!

I’m at Booth 16 - Here is a handy map and couple of routes you can take to find me. (Or just wander aimlessly and check out all the glorious yarn!)

Now that I’m back from my European adventure it’s nose-to-the-grindstone time! I have so much to spin and sew and prepare for Knit City, but it’s super exciting!

While I was away Knit Social posted the floor plan for the convention, so whether you’re in the Vancouver area, or travelling from afar, come see me at booth #17!

Knit City promotional artwork by Ginger Ngo; Vancouver’s very own fibre festival is presented by Knit Social, slated for October 13-14, 2012 at the Croatian Culture Centre. I’m hoping there will be lots more local fabric arts on display!

There is a kickoff party on October 12, with lectures by two exceptional women scheduled. Sylvia Olsen will be presenting “The women whose knitting made and saved their lives: a Coast Salish legacy and the Cowichan Sweater”, and Kim Werker will be presenting “Crochet! (Even for knitters.)”

If you live in Vancouver, or near Vancouver, definitely come to Knit City! I’ll have a table there and so far I think it’s going to be pretty amazing!

It may only be June, but I am so pumped about October, because Vancouver is having it’s first ever fiber festival!

I’ll have a table at Knit City, which is October 13th-14th, and I am already working to make it the best it can be!

There are a ton of amazing vendors, classes, and all sorts of fibery fun, so if you’re anywhere near the area, make plans to come check it out!

Don’t worry, I’ll be posting lots more about it as we draw ever closer.

…For my first time selling at a Yarn Event!

I’ll be at the Knitsocial Indie Night Sale & Swap and I’m 80% excited and 20% nervous.

I’m pretty sure I’m as ready as I’ll ever be but you never know!

I can’t wait to see the wares of all the other sellers and meet lots of Vancouver fiber folks!
