Now that I’m back from my European adventure it’s nose-to-the-grindstone time! I have so much to spin and sew and prepare for Knit City, but it’s super exciting!
While I was away Knit Social posted the floor plan for the convention, so whether you’re in the Vancouver area, or travelling from afar, come see me at booth #17!
Knit City promotional artwork by Ginger Ngo; Vancouver’s very own fibre festival is presented by Knit Social, slated for October 13-14, 2012 at the Croatian Culture Centre. I’m hoping there will be lots more local fabric arts on display!
There is a kickoff party on October 12, with lectures by two exceptional women scheduled. Sylvia Olsen will be presenting “The women whose knitting made and saved their lives: a Coast Salish legacy and the Cowichan Sweater”, and Kim Werker will be presenting “Crochet! (Even for knitters.)”
If you live in Vancouver, or near Vancouver, definitely come to Knit City! I’ll have a table there and so far I think it’s going to be pretty amazing!

It may only be June, but I am so pumped about October, because Vancouver is having it’s first ever fiber festival!
I’ll have a table at Knit City, which is October 13th-14th, and I am already working to make it the best it can be!
There are a ton of amazing vendors, classes, and all sorts of fibery fun, so if you’re anywhere near the area, make plans to come check it out!
Don’t worry, I’ll be posting lots more about it as we draw ever closer.
…For my first time selling at a Yarn Event!
I’ll be at the Knitsocial Indie Night Sale & Swap and I’m 80% excited and 20% nervous.
I’m pretty sure I’m as ready as I’ll ever be but you never know!
I can’t wait to see the wares of all the other sellers and meet lots of Vancouver fiber folks!
